Frenchblue is a low-cost long haul airline, sister of Air Caraibes, that started in 2016. In 2017 it asked the US authorities for an air carrier permit, and Jetblue raised objections of another airline using the word "Blue" in its name. The airline received regulatory approval after changing its name to "French". In 2018 it was rebranded as Frenchbee.
