 Panair do Brasil started in 1929 as NYRBA do Brasil, the Brazilian subsidiary of NYRBA. It was renamed Panair do Brasil when NYRBA became Panam in 1930. It started serving international destinations in 1946 and became the largest airline in South America. It went down in 1965 when the Brazilian military government revoked its certification
